About Todd Potter

Todd Potter is a lifelong Town of Tonawanda resident and graduate of Ken-Ton schools. He has consistently proven himself as a leader amongst his peers and in the community.

Todd Potter had just finished his first year of law school when he won the highest number of votes to the Ken-Ton Board of Education. Todd has strived to maintain public education and ensure the nearly 6,500 students in his district receive a premier education. Todd has worked to ensure transparency as he and the board oversee the district’s $150,000,000 budget. Todd was one of five members who contributed to, and voted for the district’s comprehensive reorganization which will ensure financial stability, continued efficiency and will realize savings to restore some programs in the district. He also has undertaken a complete update of the board’s current policy and sits on the steering committee for the Ken-Ton Family Support Center that assists hundreds of families per year in the area.

Todd captained the Men’s Volleyball Team while graduating Summa Cum Laude from D'Youville College with his B.A. in History. He served in many leadership roles early on in his higher academic career and also worked on many political campaigns at the local, state and national levels. Todd continues to serve the institution as a member of the D'Youville Alumni Board of Directors.

At SUNY Buffalo Law School, Todd competed in oral advocacy programs and coached moot court teams. Todd successfully ran twice as a Director on the Student Bar Association and served in that role to positively impact the law school. During his time in law school, Todd assisted in the NYS Attorney General’s Buffalo Office, the New York State Supreme Court and at the Law Office of Grashow Long. Todd’s legal background will benefit the district with policy drafting from a methodical and strategic lawmaker.

Todd is running for County Legislature in the 4th District – the Town of Tonawanda, City of Tonawanda and Grand Island – because he wants to bring about more positive change in the community and on a broader scale. Todd has consistently encouraged youth participation in the political process and plans to work with all stakeholders in the district after he is elected. Todd has proven himself as a leader dedicated to the community and with your support, he will be the next Legislator in the 4th District on Election Day, November 3rd!
